Hi, we are sailing on the wonder on Oct 15th to the Mexican Riviera. there is a port adventure we wanted to do, but was sold out immediately. my question is should i just wait for last minute cancellations (we have group of 13) or should i try to contact them directly? i noticed that their rates are cheaper through Disney than if we were to go directly through them. we are really not planning on doing to many excursions but this was one that we really wanted to do. any suggestions?

I'd say try both. Remember, when you reserve Excursions through DCL, there is no penalty to cancel until three days before you sail. This helps you two ways. Lots of people may well cancel between now and then, and if you can't get all 13 slots you need, you can cancel later.

We needed 9 for our excursion, but it said it was 'full' so I requested 8 instead on the website. Still not luck. 7 6 5... 5 went through. I booked those five. The next day, I was able to reserve 2 more. Within a week, I had all 9 I needed. So ask for smaller numbers and see if some are available.

If that doesn't work, you can still go with the outside reservation.
