Question regarding Cove Cafe?

We are cruising on March 17th on the Wonder. I am confused about whether the Cove Cafe is adults only. We want to spend as much time together as a family as possible and we enjoy having coffee together, whereas our DD11 has a kid drink while we have our coffee. So, are kids allowed? I appreciate any information. :flower:

Cove Cafe is for 18 and older. Since it is right next to the Goofy pool why not stop in, get your coffee drink to go and meet your dd over by the Goofy pool. You can get her a drink from the drink station also on deck 9.

Thank you for the information. I did not know where the cove cafe was, so that is a great idea! Thanks again.

DH and I thoroughly enjoyed the Cove Cafe. Once while we were there a dad stepped inside to get a drink and had his young daughter with him. The CM at the counter/bar told the man that kids weren't allowed and that she would bring his drink right out to him. The dad, to his credit, didn't get offended at all, thanked the CM and told her he'd be right outside when his drink was ready.

I have to say I was a little surprised to see this because it was obvious that the dad wasn't going to stay and sit down, he was just ordering a drink (either coffee or a cocktail) to go, but then again, they DO have to follow the policy of "Adults Only" and as people who visted the Cove Cafe daily for our frozen coffees, we were glad to see no kids hanging out in there.

In case you're interested, here's a link to my web page with pics from the Cove Cafe:

Boy, we had the opposite experience. I asked my DS 8 to wait outside while I ran in to get a drink. The CM told me he could come in while I got the drink. I then waved him in and told him to stand just inside the door. The CM grabbed a cookie, gave it to him, and told him to have a seat. It was pretty quiet inside, but I was still surprised.

Thanks for the view of your picture SeaSpray. It looks like a great place to get my favorite iced coffee.

Slightly off topic, I found Cove Cafe the best place for me to get online. Other terminals always seemed busy, perhaps more obvious, and I never had to wait in Cove Cafe. (Didn't ever buy a drink there, but brought in my refillable mug with Diet Coke--CMs always greeted me with a smile.

Is this what was the ESPN Skybox? If it is, do they still have the TV's? We enjoyed watching sports while enjoying beer and nacho's! If they took out the TV's, is there any place to watch a game and enjoy the nacho's? :earsgirl:

What used to be ESPN is now the Stack (teen club)

Cove Cafe was the old Teen Club (can't remember the name)

The Cove Cafe is just new. The old ESPN is now called Diversions. IT is still a sports bar, with the same emenities. The Cofe Cafe does have giant screen tv's, board games, and the internet. IT is an extremely quiet relaxing atmosphere. Oh yeah, they even have headphones to listen to certain music...

Actually, the old ESPN is the new teen area on both ships. The old comedy club/dueling pianos club is where Diversions is located, and the old teen clubs (Common Grounds) are Cove Cafe on both ships. We LOVED Cove Cafe...watch for the "Coffee with a Cruise Staff Member" in the navigator. We really enjoyed that.

On our cruise in January, the CM told our kids to come in as well when we picked up our coffees.
