Question regarding children on the dining plan...

When the meal comes with carrot sticks and applesause, are those considered the appetizer and the dessert? Thanks!

They can be. Usually they'll get to pick 2 sides. One can be an appetizer (soup, veggies, etc.) and the other can be dessert. It's their choice.

if i remember correctly, they are sides and they can pick a dessert. Something like a muffin, donut, cake, jello, something like that. Usually most CS meals come with 2 sides.

The CS places that I went to had these to choose from (2 per meal): carrots, grapes, applesauce, jello, fries, cookie.

CS kids' menus usually have a list of "side" items and they can pick two from the list. One of those counts as dessert. They don't get to choose two "sides" plus a dessert.

I ran into a couple of places that had chocolate pudding as a choice too.

I'm pretty sure a popsicle/freeze pop was also a choice at one place we went. This same place also offered Mickey head ice cream bars as a choice for adults and I don't remember seeing them as a choice anywhere else on the adult menu.

A few times I traded with the kids so they could have a little variety in the dessert department. I'd order the cookie and save it for later and give them my cake, yogurt, etc.

And at the waterparks they have ice cream novelties for desserts. You can coome back later in the day to get it (save your receipt.)
