Question regarding charging to room before checking in to second resort..

As long as they are linked and active they should work. If for some reason they don’t I’m not sure what they could do but you can scan your tickets from your phone with the app. You can also open your hotel room with the app.

As above, as long as the tickets are linked to each person's MDE profile and the MBs are all shown as Active in each person's MDE profile, the MBs will work. They're not connected to the resort reservation in any way that will be affected by which resort you're checked into at the moment that you scan into a park.

The check-out/check-in issue only affects which resort account any charges that are paid by tapping the MB (dining or merchandise) will go to. And it might affect opening the door to the second resort room, if you're not completely checked out of the first resort. But again, it won't affect your tickets.
