Question re: where to buy wine/beer at Disney

A great place to buy wine is in Animal Kingdom --
Go to the gift shop in Africa across from Tusker House -
They have some excellent bottles of South African wine -- I always buy one or two and bring it back to the room.

As far as WeGoShop -- we have had them purchase wine & beer for us. No problem!

can anyone provide any info on the beer selections at the Hess Stations? Is it mainly Bud, Coors, etc.? Any Sam Adams, Fat Tire, etc?

The best they had was Yuengling...no Sam Adams. The typical BMC swill.

On our last trip we used Garden Grocer to order juice boxes, water, and a few snacks to have on hand. You can use the comments box on the order form to request beer or wine also. You have to fax them a copy of your drivers license (to show proof of your age) if you might not be waiting at the resort for the delivery. The items were delivered before we arrived at POR and the staff put them in fridge and stored them for us til we got there! Nice to have a beer after traveling all morning!!!:drinking1

How much beer will wegoshop or garden grocer let you order? We have a party of 13 and we are staying for a week in a two 2 bedroom villas, so we'll have a fridge. I dont want them to think we are boozehounds, but buying 6 packs from the disney resort stores kills you because of the prices. Any help would be great.

I am pretty sure once you order their $40 minimum order I read somewhere on their site that you can order again during your stay and they won't charge you the fee again. Can't be positive on that but there is a phone number right on their website that you can call and ask. That way you don't look like TOO MUCH OF A LUSH!!!!!:rotfl:

AFAIK, Fat Tire (and the other beers from New Belgium) haven't made their way east of the Mississippi. :sad1:

So sad, and so true. It is now available in Tennessee, but I'm pretty sure it's not in Florida yet. (I know this because I'm 15 minutes from the Alabama/Tennessee state line, and the bars and package stores there have Fat Tire and Mothership. Yay!)

Goodings, in the Crossroads Plaza just outside of WDW, actually has a pretty large selection of beer.

I haven't been in Goodings in years but last time there I remember everything was very pricey. ABC has a decent selection at regular prices including some belgians (Chimay, St. Bernardus) and also has Great Divide, Dogfish Head, Anchor, North Coast etc.
