I just had surgery yesterday, and was planning to meet a long lost friend at IOA next week, I should be okay to walk and ride by then, since it was laproscopic, but figured I should ask a few questions just in case.

First off, how much for a regular, and an electric? That'll be a HUGE deciding factor!!
Second, what's it like going thru the lines? I won't be able to do the water rides at that point, and can transfer, I usually don't see too many WC's there, so just wondering what the proceedure is!

Still undecided on if I'll need one, but figured I should be prepared just in case! Thanks!

I was there a week ago and needed a wheelchair. After you go through the people movers there will be an area before you go into Citywalk where you can rent a regular wheelchair, I didn't need an electric so I am unsure if they had them there. A regular chair cost me $50 deposit and $12 for the rental. I believe the electric is $45 for the day but I don't know what the deposit is for that one. :confused3

The team members are extremely helpful to those in wheelchairs. On some of the rides you will have to wait on the regular line like The Simpsons, but on the Mummy you will cut through half way up (due to the stairs) and get to go a quicker route. I couldn't do many rides so I am unsure on the rest. I was on meds that really make me dizzy so after The Mummy I called it quits. :rolleyes1

Here are the prices: http://www.universalorlando.com/hou...park-services/wheelchair-stroller-rental.html

You can't take the ECVs through many of the lines. You'll have to transfer to a wheelchair. There will be elevators provided at any rides that have stairs. You do wait in the regular line though.

Here's hoping that you are all healed up by then. :flower3:

Thanks, yea I hate relying on wheelchairs, but will use one if it's needed. Thanks for the info!!! The friends I'm meeting will be considerate and slow down if I need them to, since they know about my issues, since it was going on for a week before surgery!! I'm shooting for going over there on wednesday with them, thursday if I got a dr's appt on wednesday, so the extra day to heal would be nice!! No Dr doom for me tho!! LOL
