Question re type of park ticket to get

We are going in Feb for 4days. We are debating a 4 day park hopper ticket vs. a base 4day ticket w/5th free day. We will not have time to hop our first and last days so it doesn't seem worth it to get a hopper. Is it possible to use the extra free 5th day on a base ticket as a day to go to two parks in one day?

You cannot use two entitlements in one day. If you want to visit more than one park in a day, you must have the park hopper add on.

From experience, I got 4 day with 5th day free base this past Oct and Hopper for next Oct. I was fine with base for the most part until one day I got sick and didnt get to go to a park, so got stuck with an extra day. I also thought it would be fun to hop with my friend and tried using the extra day and couldnt. Hopper this time just to be safe, and because HS was half a day and AK was for me at least... so it would be nice to hop to another park for a bit instead of always going back to the hotel lol

On a short visit like that I would definitely get the park hopper. Being able to hop on two days makes it worthwhile, IMO. That gives you the option to visit the parks 6 times, instead of 5.

As said, you can't use two tickets in one day, so the 5th day would be a waste. I personally love hopping. I often hit 2 or more parks in one afternoon/evening. But if you don't use it, just get a 4 day base ticket.
