Question re: trash drop points?

Our DS will likely still be in diapers on our upcoming trip. At home we use diaper pails to contain the odor, but I don't expect that there will be one in our DVC rooms. So my question is this: how far will we have to go in order to drop a trash bag? We'll be doing a split stay at AKV Jambo House and BLT. Are there mini dumpsters on each floor? If not, how does one get rid of smelly stuff?

At AKV just toss it out in the Savannah off of your balcony, animals love poopy diapers! Just kidding, just toss on the neighboring balcony when they aren't around. Seriously there should be a room on each floor that has multiple garbage cans where you can drop off your bags. They also have receptacles for recycling.

There are signs in the hallway directing you to the "trash room". Any hotel DVC I've stayed in has 1 on each floor and if the floors are long (like BWV) in each section. Jambo is pretty big, I would bet on more than 1 per floor. OKW has them at the bottom of the steps on ground level in each building.

At the hotel style DVC resort, there are trash rooms on each floor. You can also bring your recyclables to the trash room.

In the community style DVC resorts, there is a trash room in each building.

You should also have extra trash bags in the bottom of the garbage can.

Thank you for thinking about this. Occasionally we have encountered guests who think that setting garbage in the hall outside their room is acceptable. We have found that the trash room receptacles are emptied frequently, so don't worry about odor.

We still have one child in diapers and we always bring scented diaper disposal bags. If DS has a smelly diaper, we put it in the scented bag and then bring it to the trash room. The scented bags also come in handy for diaper changes in the wee hours when a trip to the trash room isn't possible.

I thought someone said on a trip report stay at BLT that the trash rooms were not on the 1st level. I don't remember anyone mentioning any difficulty locating these rooms on the other floors at BLT.

Can anyone confirm the location of the trash rooms at BLT?

Last time I was at SSR (Congress Park) I could only find a trash room on the 1st floor. (Less than ideal when you are on the 4th floor, but I do not mind the walk when the weather is decent)

AKV Jambo had a trash room across from the mid-hallway elevator.
