Question re: MYW package and AP upgrade

Hi all!

I have a reservation for a MYW package with 10-day tickets in October (15th-29th). Now, we are considering upgrading one of the tickets to an AP to take advantage of the AP rate and Tables in Wonderland.

Other posters have mentioned that although they have been asked to show their AP at check-in, they have been allowed to keep the AP rate if they just showed an AP "during their stay". I would very much like to keep our MYW package and then just upgrade one of the tickets when we arrive since we are booked with the old ticket price. In other words, I would check in on Oct 15th and have an AP to show after going to a park on Oc 16th.

Has anyone experienced any problems with this? Not been allowed to keep AP rate if they didn't have an AP at check-in? We fully intend to do the upgrade, but it would just be so much easier (and save us some money) if we didn't have to purchase tickets in advance.

You can do this. They never asked to see my ap when I checked in. You won't have a problem just show it to them the next day. I would book as soon as possible. There is not a big selection of rooms left with ap discount.

I'm confused. If you want to keep the package you have, then what's the issue?

If all you're doing is upgrading a 10 day ticket to an AP, but keeping your package, you don't have an "AP rate" and there's no issue.

If you want the AP rate, then modify the package and remove the tickets. Get the tickets from a discounter like Undercover Tourist, upgrade them as you like after using them once to lock in the current gate price, and show the AP the next day if asked.

I have never been asked to show my AP.
