I have phoned 3 times (since booking last August) now to see if we were lucky enough to get member discount for our cash booking. first 2 times the CMs were really nice and said no but to keep trying. 3rd time (phoned last month) I think I got the rudest CM and he came across like I had been stupid to ask in the first place :guilty:

because we have booked a GV at SSR (usually we book the 2 bedroom) I had kept trying i.e the 3rd time because they are so expensive but now I don't know if I should try again :sad2: or not

I had also read somewhere that sometimes if the member discount becomes available it will be automaticlly added so wonder if its worth giving myself grief phoning again :confused3

I thought the 25% cash discount for DVC rooms was always available :confused3 . Paying full rack rate for a GV... eek!

If you still would like to pay cash for a night or two, don't let that rude CM keep you from doing it.

I don't know if the discount is automatically applied or not.

If it were me, I'd just keep calling.

Good luck!

I have one night booked on cash during F&W and was told I have to keep calling back to see if a member discount opens up. That would be great if the discount is automatically applied, but I don't want to take a chance, so I'll keep bugging them at MS...even if they get a little po'd.

The discount is not always available. It is an occasional discount that appears for certain dates anytime after 11 months out. It is a discount for a member occupied stay and can be substantial (25% off rack rate). But, an AP discount can be even better at times. I would suggest checking through CRO for any AP rate that may be even better. Good luck OP...
