question re: lion king pins purchased from e-bay

Hi! I do not know alot of facts about pins. The only pins we have purchased up until this time have been from disney world. However, I was trying to purchase some pins ahead of time for my dd (6) to trade on our upcoming trip. I bought a set of lion king pins off of ebay for $20.00 and I am afraid I have been ripped off. There are six pins I believe they are baby simba, zazu, scar, pumba, grown simba, baby nala. What makes me suspicous is they are alot more light weight than the other pins we have. They are solid black on the back and they say disney but have no trademark of any kind beside disney, under disney in small writing it looks like it says sesna. I am wondering are these not official disney trading pins and if not I guess the case members will not trade with my dd.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions where I can get some pins at a good price for trading.

You have gotten pins made in Spain by a company called Sedesma. These are licensed Disney products and are tradeable to CMs. Some CMs may not want to take them, but have them refer to a "pin manager" and they will find they are legal.

Ditto the above reply, and I still think ebay is a good place to buy trading pins. If you're willing to spend 3.50-4.00/pin you should find a lot of options. You don't just have to buy lots or sets - you can buy individual pins and look at "seller's other items" to see what the same seller has to offer. Most sellers will combine shipping costs, usually .25-.50 per additional pin. Be careful, tho', because some sellers will only combine shipping if you buy multiple pins in the same day -- others will combine shipping for pins purchased within 7-10 days, as long as you pay for them together.
