Question Re: Getting PS/ARs ...

This morning is my first time calling WDW-DINE for PSs/ARs for our upcoming honeymoon in October. As I've been on hold for about 27 minutes now (and started calling a few minutes before 7), am wondering if I even needed to do this ... Most of the times we are looking for are probably off-peak, though they are still during the free dining, so I'm not sure whether how hard it will be to get the restaurants and approx. times we wanted. (By the way, planning on calling 90 days out for each, even though we will be on vacation in CA for part of it ... another reason I'd like to avoid calling so early.)

Can anyone offer some advice based on the following?

BOMA (breakfast around 10:30 and dinner around 8:30)
CA Grill (dinner around 7:30)
Brown Derby (dinner around 7:30)
Spoodles (dinner around 8:00)
Jiko (dinner around 8:30)
SCi-Fi Diner (lunch around 2)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast around 11)

Any help much appreciated! (Still on hold ... :( )

The only one I see where you would have to wake up early is CA Grill. You'd think that's off peak but alas, with the fireworks, it isn't. I got through within 30 minutes today and 7:30 and 7:40 were gone.

I'd go ahead and probably Wake up for Chef Mickey's too. That's off peak but it can fill up.

Brown Derby
If you're planning to do fantasmic, a 7:30 is too late given the park hours last October. Plus, I don't think the later times are even released for MGM restaurants yet. If you don't plan to do fantasmic, 7:30 is wonderful. But I doubt it is released yet given they haven't finalized this October's hours yet.

Hope that helps.

I agree w/ the above poster. I called early my first day and it took to longw/all the Cindy's traffic. I generally waited until after 8 and then got straight through to the CMs. I just finished my PS calling this morning  and got everything I wanted.

Good luck!

I called yesterday at approximately 3:00 P.M. Eastern time and got right through. This call was to adjust some times of ADR's I had made about two weeks ago for our upcoming trip in late August.

One of the adjustments was for Cali Grill to a later seating time to make sure we see Wishes during dinner, and it was no problem whatsoever.

When I made our initial ADR's, I called at 10:30 A.M. Eastern time and got right through that time as well. Was able to get all of our requested times, and that was for some of the popular places like Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, etc. at about 60 days out.

I wanted dinner at CRT and cannot get it for the night I wanted (i have it for the night before and the night after) Even though you probally don't have to I would still try to make them ASAP!!!!
