Question re FP and Hotel Booking Change

I originally booked my upcoming stay at POFQ through Disney. I booked my fastpasses all at the 60 day window. But now I am seeing a deal on Cheaptickets that gets me the same stay for more than $300 less. If I book that, cancel my other reservation, and assign my new reservation to my MDX account, will I lose my fastpasses? I could wait until the 30-day window is open for my entire stay to cancel if that makes a difference.

Book the Cheaptickets stay AND link it to your MDE. Then, Cancel your first reservation. You won't lose your FPs.

@hiroMYhero - I have a different situation. I have a DVC 2-bedroom booked for 10 days(I'm a member) and I want to change the last 3 days to a 1-bedroom which would give me 2 different reservations. I am within 60 days and have all my FPs booked - I am an AP holder so having tickets for the number of days is not an issue. If I make this change will I lose the FPs for the last 3 days?

You won't lose your FPs. Consecutive onsite stays will be the same as your original booking. FPs remain in the system while changes are made and once everything is complete reservation-wise, all your MDE FP data will be maintained.
