Hubby, myself and our 2 kiddos taking a trip to Universal, room booked at RPR for 2 adults/2 kids, problem is the "kiddos" are now age 14 and 21 - Do I need to switch this booking to 3 adults and 1 child, will it even matter? This is our first family vacation in quite a while and I am so used to booking 2 adults and 2 children, it never really occured to me to do otherwise. It seems to me that last time we were at RPH many years back they asked for ages of the kids, will there be a problem when I tell them 21? Don't want any problems at check in!

I would call and let them know you made a mistake and fix it. There is a charge for the extra adult for each night and if you bought a package it will affect the cost of the ticket to upgrade from child to adult - the 14 year old also is an adult ticket since the child's is only to 9.

hotels generally consider an 18 y/o an adult.

call back and correct the error, making it 3 adults, 1 child.
$25 fee nightly on the third adult.

you can have 2 adults, 3 kids or 4 adults at the onsite hotels at the darkside.

the child, 14 y/o needs to be an adult ticket.
easier to fix that now than when you are trying to enter the park.

Usually when booking either on-line or over the phone you are asked to provide the ages of the "children". I know when I called they definately asked. Our kids will turn 18 when while at HRH and I wanted to know if they should be booked as adults or kids. On-line when booking the room the system asks for the kids ages the highest age you can put is 17. Not sure how this was overlooked on your booking.

While this child may be your 'kid" they are definately an adult for booking a hotel room. ;)

Thank you for the info - relieved to know we can have 3 "adults" in the room although I could successfully argue the point the neither my 21 yr old nor my husband should qualify for adult status:lmao: At least they are indeed worth an extra 25 bucks to me ;) I will call and make that adjustment, all set on the tickets as I know we lost the child benefit on that one years ago!
