Question RE: Buying BLT

When buying BLT, do you get 2008 points? For example, if your Use Year is October, do you get points on October 1, 2008? I suppose they would have to be used at another resort, but do you even get them?

It doesn't seem like a very good deal if you don't get points until October 2009...

You won't get 08 points. Regardless of your 09 UY, you won't be able to use any of your points at any resort prior to BLT opening on Sept 1, 2009.

Correct, this is exactly what my guide said too. So I didn't jump on the offer since there was no incentive for me to do it right now. I will sit back and wait and see if the incentives get better.

You are exactly right! I have zero incentive to buy now - I will join you and sit back and wait! I think we'll have plenty of warning before it sells out.

I agree. We leave next month and will do the tour of the model room. My guide knows to keep me informed. She only warned me that the point price will probably see another increase soon. (I didn't like hearing that.)

I am with you on the sit back and wait mode. With members on the cruise getting incentives I am nmore interested in waiting then jumping righ tnow. If the prices really do go up then I guess it will be OKW here we come.

I am waiting for a better incentive as well. There is certainly no need to rush to buy right now as we can't use the points until 2009. I am hoping they offer some incentives like they did on the member cruise, those are nice incentives and I would buy now if they offered those.

Yes, I read those incentives and thought, wow, I would jump on some of those. Actually with incentives like that, I might even be persuaded to buy more than I actually plan to....now that's incentive!
