Question RE: 1st Booking..

As I stated in another post, we finally made the commitment, but waited until we got back home to call our guide and say we wanted to buy in. He said that the docs would be FedEx'ed. When will we be able to book our first stay? I know that some people have stated that they have done this prior to closing. Also, assuming that I get the papers beginning of next week and return them right away, when do you think my closing will be? My guide sais something about the remainder of my deposit within 30 days. Is that my closing?

Your paperwork will tell you when your deposit is due and when your closing will be. If you made a partial deposit, you should be able to make a reservation now. We gave a small deposit to get the paperwork going and the same night I made my reservations. Our guide called MS to see if there was an opening for our dates and had them hold them. When I called as a new member they comfirmed our reservations. Everything went very smoothly.

Thanks for the info... I just got off the phone with MS, and we have booked our 1st DVC stay for Feb 07 - 15, 2004.

This is more fun than booking regular WDW vacations!!!! No out of pocket money, kind of...
