I've heard the Poly shares a bus for AK and DHS. What about walking to the TTC and getting a direct bus? Would it be quicker if you're on that side of the resort? How often to park busses leave from TTC?

I've gotten buses from the TTC before and I felt that they did not seem to run as often as they do at the resorts. But it could be that my timing was off.
But in answer to your question, if your building is closer to the TTC its a nice walk over and the buses from the TTC go right to the parks.

Unlike other buses at WDW, the TTC buses(AK & HS) run on a specific timetable which is every 18 minutes.

These are also the only buses that continuously run the same route over and over.

Keep in mind that these buses, especially HS, are pretty crowded all day long

The good thing about the buses to and from the TTC they don't share with other Resorts, since the Polynesian will usually share transportation in the mornings with the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian.

I have never found the POLY bus to share a bus for AK and DHS -- is this a new development??? I would be surprised. Now the Poly bus shares with other monorail hotels but I have not ever found it to go to two different parks.

We stayed in the Tahiti building, and it is a very short walk to the TTC. We love the building for that reason and hope to stay there during our June visit.

The buses from the Polynesian have always shared with the Contemporary or Grand Floridian and sometimes all 3 Resorts share bus service at the same time depending on the route.

Yes I understand that but the OP is stating that the Poly bus stops at AK and DHS on the same run ... that is what I have never heard of.

Oh I must have read that post wrong. The buses for Hollywood Studos and Animal Kingdom are always on seperate routes, so it's not just one bus for both parks.

Sorry if the OP was confusing....I meant that they shared with other resorts (Contemporary/GF) for those two parks.

Here's another question slightly OT....

If you're on the side of the resort closest to the TTC is it easier to catch the express monorail to the MK from there rather than the resort monorail at the GCH?

If your in the Tahiti Longhouse it would make more sense to get on the Express Monorail at the TTC. However let's say you wanted to visit the Magic Kingdom when they have Morning Extra Magic Hour, you need to take the Resort Monorail from the GCH since the Express Monorail does not start until 9:00 AM on those mornings.

Ah ok sorry --

Ok yes they do share with the other hotels - that said I would still catch the bus at the Poly.

But if you are close to the TTC I would definitely use the monorail and ferry there for transportation to the MK and Epcot rather than going through the GCH.

We have always stayed in Hawaii and still would walk over to the TTC for Epcot transportation rather than do the monorail and then change over.

The only time we ever take the monorail from the GCH is to make a Chef Mickey ressie before 7:30, becasue when we've been there the resort monorail started at 7 AM and the MK monorail did not start till 7:30. That's oneof the reasons we love the Poly--and the TTC side of the resort--so much...we can get most places so easily.
