Staying at Port Orleans and one night we are doing the carriage ride. Do we tip the driver and how much?

This is my stupid question of the day.

IMHO it's not worth the $30. for a half hour ride between POR and POFQ.
You can take a nice walk along the same pathways for free (and it's just as romantic if that's what your looking for)

It just occurred to me I didn't really answer your question.

If you don't mind the $30. fee and do take the carriage ride, I would think you should tip the driver 15% to 20% depending on how much interaction he does with you.
You can bet he's not being paid much.

Thanks so much. I know it's a lot but we don't get to go often and we will have the twins with us so I thought it would be something they would enjoy.
DGD loves horses so she will really enjoy this and DGS loves anything with wheels so killing 2 birds with one stone.

Don't worry though we will be doing a lot of walking, dh loves to walk.

We tipped him about 5 dollars and he was very surprised and pleased. I don't think people often tip the carriage guy. It was totally relaxing and a nice break on the feet after walking 10 miles a day in the parks. I highly recommend it. Enjoy.
