Question.......Only ONE Disney trip for 5 Years?

Never done a cruise, but I would still say WDW for a week. Much more to do than DL.

Weighing in!

I haven't been to DL but I have been to WDW many times and once on a honeymoon Disney Cruise and though I really enjoyed the cruise, I missed the parks. We had seven hours to kill in the Orlando airport before our flight out and it killed me to be so close to WDW and not go! So I say go to WDW! Make it one to really remember!

Been to WDW and DL. Never been on a cruise although I've thought about it. The only thing that keeps holding me back is Disney is my daughter's and my "thing" to do and I love to be with her and experience the Disney magic, and I'm not sure that would happen on the cruise ship. She'd be off doing kid stuff (I hear there are tons of kid only things to do) and I'd be forced to go do adult stuff by myself (not saying a massage or pedicure wouldn't be fun, but...) and that is definitely NOT the point of going on vacation with her. Plus we have such an incredibly fantastic time in WDW that I suggest you go there. DL is nice but it won't last you a week...

It's not always the place you visit, but the person you share it with.....:lovestruc :lovestruc

Last year I had the most incredible time at WDW with my DBf. He planned the entire trip.....everyday he would surprise me with something....it was AMAZING !!!

I love the Magic pixiedust:

Gotta say one thing about the DH ... he's a nice guy, except for the Disney thing, he reminds me of Walter a bit actually. He's a tree hugger and loves camping. And we aren't talking camping at Fort Wilderness. That was suggested. We are talking camping out in the middle of nowhere to commune with nature, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, no TV, no computer, no phones. So the fact that he is willing to do Disney at all blows my mind. He doesn't hate Disney, it just seriously isn't his kind of thing.

How about a his & hers trip:
A Northern California visit - Yosemite, Monterey Bay Aquarium, the drive down the coast, and a few days in DL.
San Diego has a wonderful zoo and there's sea world.

If the trip includes some of his favorite things, he might be more eager to travel again w/in the 5 year limit.

This is EXACTLY what I was going to suggest. To balance it out, I'd do a combo trip, with Hollywood, DL/DCA, and Yosemite, etc. It'll be a WOW trip, incl. something for everyone, and since there wasnt Disney overkill, you stand a chance of another trip w/in 5 years! :thumbsup2

Well, from someone this has happened to. I would have to pick WDW. Of course I have been to WDW with DH in 2002 and 2007, so for 2012 I might be able to convince him to go on a cruise. The only thing is, is that I enjoy WDW in December. I have four years to think about it.

In 2007, I had to comprise. 5 days in WDW and 2 days at Universal (which I actually enjoyed... especially Seuss Landing).

My DH is tired of Disney so I have to come up with new things to do. This past trip I took a lot of pictures, just in case I don't make it back in 2012. If the Disney company would create a park of thrill rides, my DH would be there. Here's hoping someday.
