Hi,

we have a reservation for an evening meal at Wolfgang Pucks but also fancied trying WPE.

Is there much difference in quality as I am thinking maybe the meal at WP is a waste of a table service credit?

Any opinions appreciated

We eat at wolfgang pucks at least once as a TS everytime we go to Disney. Usually more than once, and try and go to the QS several times also... especially for breakfast, in fact we will go out of our way to go here. We feel this is one of the best 1 TS restaurants in all of Disney. The QS is great. At breakfast you order and sit down and they bring it too you. I really can't say enough good things about this restaurant... infact we usually go during free dining but if we didn't I think we would still eat here.

As a QS I think it's pretty good if you are in DTD anyway, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. As a TS I personally think there are just many better options out there.

The QS does have the best carrot cake (nothing like what you get in the parks with every single QS, this is a real slice of a real cake)

We kept going back and forth about trying the TS this trip but decided not to bc we enjoyed the WGPExpress so much. On our 9 day trip last year we did breakfast once and dinner and or lunch at least twice...maybe 3 times. Everything we tried was good and we can't wait to go back a couple times this upcoming trip again. We are ones that will go out of our way to get it!

We always do QSDP, so I can't comment on the WP table service restaurant. We do enjoy WPE every chance we get, especially on QSDP, because it's great food and good value. We have never had anything there we didn't like.

It always seems to be busy, so the main drawback (for us) is that getting a good table (inside vs. out) is sometimes iffy. Either way, you will still have a regular waiter, so it's really TS at CS price.

We love both the Cafe and WPE.

WPE is a great meal for a CS restaurant, the best value on the Dining Plan.

We ate at the Cafe for the first time last year and really enjoyed our meals. The carrot cake I had there was the best I have had in a restaurant for quite some time.

I would definitely say that the Cafe is worth a TS credit.

Kind of like comparing apples to oranges, very different places, reall. We have eaten at WP Express many times, and recently ate at the Cafe (May 2010) While we really like the Express, we found the Cafe to be way better - better selections, much more extensive menu, great food & great service.

The only drawback I'd see to the Cafe is if you're there when they're busy it could be very loud in there. We were in there when it was almost empty, and it was still noisy (industrial-chic decor, so noise just bounces off the steel/concrete/tile etc.) Very nice if you can get a window seat overlooking the water, too.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe is a MUST do for us on every trip and very much not a waste of a table service !! the macademia nut crusted chicken and carrot cake are awesome !!

Cant comment on the Cafe, but the express is the best QS in Disney! We love it, we always make it our first night dinner, its tradition to have the amazing Quasadilla's and creme brulee.

mmm mmm:thumbsup2 can't wait!

There is a difference in quality. Wolfgang Puck's is a good use of a credit, in my opinion. The bread to start is good, the Macademia Nut Chicken is to die for and the White Chocolate Cheesecake is my favorite in Disney. We somehow always end up eating here, even if we don't have ressies beforehand. Come to think of it, I might make a reservation now for our Sept trip....

Cafe all the Way! Eat there twice each trip and can't wait to eat there again in 24 days :cool1:

Thanks for the replies, I think we will probably keep the ressie as we still have 1 TS credit left and no idea what to use it on as is, currently we have:

Le Cellier (Dinner)
Coral Reef (Lunch)
Tonys (lunch)
Crsytal Palace (lunch)
Chef Mickeys (breakfast)
Tusker House (lunch)
Boma (Dinner)
Wolfgang Puck (Dinner)
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic dinner package)

In september are any places available to eat without reservations or will pretty much everywhere need one?

We like Big River Grill for a no reservation location. Good food, great atmosphere sitting outside on the Boardwalk (except for the time we were eating and a child waiting to sit down with his parents threw up right in front of our table :scared1:...def a once in a lifetime occurance).

Enjoy WPC, it's awesome!

You can eat at the ESPN Club. They don't take ADRs (at least last year) but they are on the DDP. Last trip we had dinner there and then walked over to Epcot for Illuminations. We have also used it as a break from DHS at lunch(Our days of commando park tour are behind us:rotfl:) The only times we had to wait for a table was if there were football games on the TV.(Saturday college & NFL Sunday).Food is regular sports bar/pub food but we like it.:goodvibes

Can't comment on WP Cafe but WPE is out of this world! We love it, in fact the last trip we took we ate three of our QS meals there. It's a little difficult getting to with the buses sometimes, but well worth it. It's my favorite QS place to eat at.
