question on US air Div Miles

With US air being in trouble, I was wondering what would happen to my dividend miles if US air went under. I thought I read that United would honor them. BUt do I have to transfer the miles over to United first?

You might want to ask this question on www.flyertalk.com I think unless another airlines would take over USAirways and agree to take the frequent flyer miles you are out of luck. You would lose your miles. Many US flyers are burning miles like crazy.

Often if another carrier 'absorbs' a failing airline they will honor existing FF miles. If USAir just quits operating and never resumes, I'll expect nothing. I recently got an offer to use my FF mileage to get magazine subscriptions so the wife and I will be doing a lot of reading over the next 18 months.
