Hi,
Has anyone stayed in Room # 5020 or #5520?

I read on the boards that the ones in the middle that connect to each other are the ones with the best views. However I found a website that showed rooms 5020 and 5520 to have the better views?

Can anyone tell me for sure which of the secrete porthole rooms have the best view?

Thank you!

I am not sure but we are going to stay in one of the rooms you mentioned. I just do not remember the number. Our cruise is on 9/1. I am sure several people will post about this to help answer your questions. I plan on talking pictures and posting when I get back.

When I last sailed in the SPRs, 5520 and 5020 had the best views. Of course, even if they didn't, I'd take one of them any day over the connectors...NOISY!!

sailed the Magic this summer in 5020. Great view - only obstruction is one small metal bar on the lower left-hand side. I recommend that room to all I talk to!!

I checked my ressies on-line and this is the SPR we have.
I just could not remember earlier.
Shirley did it have the steamer trunk in the room?

No trunk - do not think I have ever seen one!?! Had a closet, desk, fridge with storage above the TV and coffee table - I think that was it.
Sorry,
Shirley

On the 9/04 Magic cruise, we were in 5520 - minimal obstruction. On the 6/05 Wonder, we were in 5524 and there was more obstruction. I would take either stateroom again as we like the convenient, quiet location.

Next month, we are sailing on the 9/3/05 Magic and are in an obstructed veranda stateroom.

Enjoy!

Here's the view out the window of 5020 on the Wonder.

I've been in both 5520 and 5020 and the view out of each one is identical.

If you have a choice between 5020 and 5520 - the lifeboat drill is in the hot sun for room 5520. It was a fabulous room - I would take it again in a minute. I loved how quite that part of the ship was.

We were booked for 5524 on our next cruise so I made sure to check out the view from the hall one day when the host was cleaning. I clapped & jumped because I could see water from the hallway! LOL!

Barb were you in chat last night? Then you already heard my story. LOL!

Thanks! I did hear your story but have been so worried as to how much obstruction there would be it made me feel better to hear it again! When do you sail I would love to hear how you liked the location, etc. I think it's connecting right but we will have friends in the connecting room.
Anyone else have info on 5524??

We have stayed in both, and they are both great! The only difference to us is that 5020 is in the hallway you come to first, and 5520 is in the opposite side's hallway. We pick 5020 because it is just slightly faster/easier for our kids to find when they come back on their own from the Lab.

View, noise?

There is a bit of noise from the CMs using the service door across the hall, but only noticed it during the day, and it wasn't that bad. There is very little noise from other passengers because it is a short hallway and not many people to walk through it, so that part is nice.

The view is a little obstructed, but not bad at all. We really enjoyed our window (always had Cat. 11 rooms before).

We love the location because it is right around the hall from the kids clubs, a short walk down the hall to the movie theater. Just walk down the stairs to the Walt Disney Theater, and the elevators that are at the end of the hall are not nearly as busy as the ones in the center of the ship.

We always try to get this room (have had it twice and have it booked again for our next cruise). I think you will like it.

Thank you,
hoping to get it for 2007!
did you book it as soon as the rates came out for your cruise in order to get it?

I am on a 4 night, so I booked a couple of weeks after they came out and it was still available. If you want to get it on a 7 night, jump on it the first day they come out. They go fast! It might even start getting hard for the shorter cruises as more and more people learn about them. Good Luck!
