question on park buses and id for guests

hi

we are staying at a disney hotel but on one day my sister in law
may come down and go with us to a park if she meets us at the hotel

what id is required to board a bus if she has park ticket but no key to the world room key can she get on the bus or do they not check?

There used to be a requirement that you needed a theme park admission to use WDW transportation. I believe that was changed....probably because no one ever checks for park tickets when you board any kind of WDW transportation anyway.
Don't worry about it. You will all be fine.

Actaully, the resort transportation is still technically limited to resort guests only (they've never changed that), but they only time they would ever enforce that these days is when they're having some trouble with crowd control. I don't remember seeing any reports of this in the last few years. You should be okay.

Anyone can use the buses, monorails, ferrys. If you read/listen to the WDW advertising it will tell you that your park pass entitles you to use of Disney transportation. So, if you have a pass to get into a park, you can ride the bus. I have never been asked for any kind of ID, on any of the transportation systems.

They may check for room keys,
(1) In the morning going to a park with early extra magic hour. (Guests without the necessary room key can wait until closer to official park opening.)
(2) On the resort monorail leaving Magic Kingdom at park closing. (Guests without the necessary room key can take the monorail on the other track.)
(3) Late on random evenings to make it look like security is beefed up.
