Question on on line check in

Hi all

At satatoga today. I did check on online no word so I called at 4 pm. My room was ready. We are all the way at the carousel. Tomorrow we are checking out and moving to the poly (planned resort hop). Should I do a person check in as well to make sure we get a room earlier? What are you experiences?

New dvc member and first time using points.

Ok I ended up calling the front desk and she said it was a glitch in the system and to call the poly in the am to make sure I am set.

Make sure you check out of the first villa before you check into the next one. Otherwise, your reservations could get messed up. Check out in person at the desk at SSR.

And I wouldn't plan to be able to move right into a vacant villa at the Polynesian when you leave SSR. Check in is after 4PM, so you might be lucky enough to get it closer before 4 than after 4. Just leave your bags with Bell Services at the Polynesian and enjoy the day.

unfortunately, this glitch happens quite regularly for us. I have made it a habit to just confirm with the front desk that we are indeed on property waiting for our room. Even that doesn't work. We will go to the front desk after 4p and they will tell us that it's been ready for a couple of hours. text AND email must not have gone through. uh-huh....

When I do a split-stay trip I:
Go to the move into resort @07:00 - 07:30 and check-in.
If a room was not used the night before I have gotten it multiple times. Checked in right then.
Then gone back to my check-out resort, had breakfast, packed up, and moved to the next resort before going about whatever we had planned for the day.

Thank you all so much. We got into the poly at 330. There was an email only. I don't think I like the split stay. I was homeless for a day! Ha! But we were at the parks anyway so It didn't matter.

When you call the front desk you usually get an off-site call center who acts like they are the front desk.
