Question on MTO rates....

I am an active duty military member, and my father in law is a traditional guardsman in the Air National Guard. My question is, my mother in law would like to cruise with us on a military rate. She has a red military ID (as a dependent of a traditional guardsman). My father in law cannot join us on this cruise as he will be on Annual Training orders with the Air National Guard at the time of the cruise. Will she qualify for the military rate with her red ID card (she would need her own room and would not be in our room as we have 2 children who would be in our room with us)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best advise is to call Disney cruise line directly and ask. More than likely she would be able to use her id card. Disney has a military guide book and this should outline what id's can be used to secure the MTO rate. If the Disney CM doesn't know, call back and get a different agent. Your ID will only be able to secure your room. -- and thanks for your service.

I appreciate the feedback. I did call Disney directly, and the only ID card that is acceptable for a spouse is the Tan (Active duty dependent) ID card. A red drill status guardsman spouse/dependent ID does not qualify. That is really what I expected since the qualifications say "activated members". I understand their limitations on the discount. Thanks for all the feedback!
