Question on monorail route and switching

It's been a long time since I stayed at a monorail resort. I'm staying at Bay Lake. I think I have this much down:
  • I walk over to the Contemporary to catch a monorail.
  • I can take it directly to the GF or the Polynesian (for pool hopping).
  • I can take it directly to MK without switching

Here's what I'm not sure of:
  • To get to Epcot from the hotel, is there a direct?
  • Does it now go to Downtown Disney and how much switching is involved from the hotel?
Thanks.

You can also walk from BLT and the Contemporary to the MK. Others here could tell you better but my feeling is its quicker to walk between BLT and the MK then to go to the Contemp, up to the monorail level by elevator, wait for a monorail, and the walk down to the MK entrance from the monorail. I walked about a week ago and it wasn't that bad.

You take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail, it's well marked.

It does not go to DTD, you need to talk a bus between the two

Hope that helps

Definitely walk from BLT to the MK instead of taking the monorail. Since the resort monorail runs clockwise it would be 4 stops to get to the MK from the Contemporary.

If you wanted to go to MK, it would be quicker to just walk there.

You cannot pool hop between resorts. They check resort IDs, especially at the deluxe resorts. The exception is POR and POFQ where guests at either can use amenities of the other.

To get to Epcot from BLT, the fastest way is by bus.

I walk over to the Contemporary to catch a monorail.
There is a skybridge from BLT to CR, and I think it comes into CR at the same level as the monorail entrance. Ask resort cast how to get to it at BLT.
