Question on Monorail Resorts

We will be staying at the GF in September. Our first night we'll be having dinner at Cali. Grill. We were planning to make dinner ressies during fireworks, but we intend to enjoy our meal and it may be a bit after MK closes when we finish. How late does the resort monorail go? Any help is appreciated.

The resort monorail runs until at least 11:00 every night. If the MK is open late, it runs even later.

You can also take the boat from the GF dock to the Magic Kingdom and walk over to the Contemporary. It's a short walk. Then when you finish dinner, just stroll back to the boat dock and hop in for the trip back to the GF. It's a nice ride, especially at night with the lights on the water. Very pretty and romantic.

I'm not sure how late the boats run, but probably as late as, or maybe even a little later than the monorail. Ask when you get there. They'll help you get there and back.

The boat from the MK to GF to the Polynesian is indeed a lovely way to travel and is especially pretty at night with the lights twinkling away all around Seven Seas Lagoon.

However, I do believe the hours of operation for the boats is tied into MK hours so if the MK closes early you may not be able to catch the boat.

The resort monorail is designed to provide transportation between the resorts even after the MK is closed.

Last August while staying at the Grand Floridian the boat transportation closed before the Magic Kingdom did, by several hours. I want to the say the boat stopped at 6pm.

Be sure to check at the Front Desk before you walk to the boat dock; only to find it is not running and have to turn around and hike back to the monorail.
