question on making reservation

I am giving a relative a room for 5 days a present. Do I have to do anything special to put it in their name or do I just call MS and make res just like it was for myself? except put their name down instead of mine.

All you have to do is give MS their name when you make the reservation. His/Her name will then be on the form and they will have to provide an address when they check in. It will still be mailed to you so your name will be on it too. I have done this quite a few times and it is very easy.

you say they need to provide address at checkin. So I don't have to give MS at time of reservation anything other than the name of person staying. I figured they needed more info than that.
One other question, just curious. If renting points does this work the same way.

Yes if you are renting points it will work the same way. When you call all you need to give them is name and number in the party (and of course any special requests). On your reservation confirmation under their name it will say "address required upon arrival".

Have fun. DVC is a great gift. We just did it for someone as a Christmas gift.

You can email them the info as well and they will make the change to he reservations as needed.
