Which do u all think is the better option for food/snacks? Mail it from home, or order?

I've been seriously debating, and I really need some input!

I shipped ahead. That way I could get exactly what I wanted (since DS is only 1, and I wanted to have his favorite things). I used the USPS flat rate box - shipping cost about $10 - and managed to pack over 20 lbs of stuff into 1 for us.

Since I was staying at a DVC property, I did also order groceries - but this was more milk, eggs, bread, etc - the things I could not ship ahead.

Well, we prefer ordering delivery to the room. Our biggest money saver is by ordering bottled water/soda/sport drinks to take them with us to the parks and you can't ship those things.

For us it's one less thing to worry about...you don't have to shop, pack, ship and worry about if and when it will arrive at the resort.

I place my gardengrocer order months in advance and add/remove things along the way. They are so punctual and awesome to work with.

If you want very specific name brands/sizes then wegoshop.com might be a better company as they shop for you based on what you ordered and where you ask them to shop.

If you are just needing a few dry goods/snacks then shipping a box might be the most economical way but you have to be willing to take the risk that it may not arrive in time or ever (we had friends who shipped diapers/formula and it was lost...Disney found it 2 weeks after they got home).
