so I understand one can get Fastpass for popular rides etc, but can say one person runs to the FP machine and get 4 FPs ? provided this person grabs all 4 family memebers tickets ?

ONE PERSON CAN TAKE ALL 4 TICKETS TO GET FAST PASSES FOR 4 PEOPLE WITH SAME RETURN TIME BUT YOU CAN ONLY HOLD ONE FAST PASS RIDE PER PERSON. I WOULDNT WORRY ABOUT RUNNING:rotfl2: BUT GET TO TOY STORY RIDE EARLY SOMETIMES THERE FAST PASSES GET COMPLETELY TAKEN FOR THE DAY. IT HAPPENED TO US.

Also remember that about 1/2 hour or so (can't remember exactly) before you use a fast pass, you can get another one for a different ride.

thank you all !

I read a post somewhere (may not be from this board) saying that some guy saw at least 10 moms with strollers raced to get FPs at rope drop in MK one early morning......hence I used the word 'run'....:goodvibes

The maximum "or so" is two hours after you got this fast pass (whether or not you used it) but could be 1/2 hour on really slack days. If the fast pass you just got matures sooner, then you can get another fast pass at that earlier time.

The times the fast pass matures and when you can get another one are both printed on the fast pass.

Not sure if this applies to the OP's situation or not, but all tickets must be for park entrance to be eligible for fastpass use.

For example, Dad couldn't run to get Test Track fast passes while the rest of the family sat on a bench outside of Epcot and waited for him.

sorry so you meant all 4 has to be inside the park with valid tickets ?

Yes. In order for the Fastpass machine to print a ticket, the park ticket must have been activated at the front gate (when you go through the gate and scan your fingertip).

Take Space Mountain as an example. All 4 family members must have entered the Magic Kingdom through the front gate to activate their park ticket. Then your "Fastpass Runner" (person who will retrieve all fastpasses) must take all 4 park tickets to the fastpass machine, insert them one at a time, and a Fastpass will print for each ticket. As a PP mentioned, the Fastpass will show your return window for the ride, as well as when you can get your next fastpass.

Some fastpass tips:
- If you can, I would definitely designate a fastpass "runner". It helps with congestion at the fastpass machines. But they don't have to run if they don't want to ;) (the only ride where running might be advantageous would be Toy Story Mania at DHS at rope drop on a busy day).
- The return window is printed for an hour, however most CMs will let you enter the fastpass line after then end of the window, but not a second before the start. However don't treat this as a hard and fast rule, because I have read that on busy days CMs will turn you away if you're there after your window.

Yes, as the PP exlpained, they all have to be activated at the Main Entrance. A funny story (in hindsight :) )... last August, friends of ours were going to dinner at Chef Mickey's and had some time to spare so they decided they would stop at MK and get fast passes for Splash Mountain. Since it was 90+ degrees, the father said that he would go get the tickets while the others sat on the benches in the shade at the monorail station. He speed walks back to Splash Mountain, inserts all 4 park tickets and returns hot and sweaty. When he hands the tickets to his wife, she notices that only 1 is valid

If the others had just stepped inside the front entrance of MK and then given their tickets to the dad, they could have then gone back to the shade at the monorail station and everything would have been fine. I'm guessing they won't make that mistake again :thumbsup2
