I just registered on this site, so this is my first post. (I will add a signature and spice up the look of future posts, and I ask for your understanding if this post does not format well)
I have been a DVC member since 1999 at BWV, with paperwork in process to add on at BLT.
I thought I was the ultimate Disney fanatic, but some of you put me to shame, so I bet you know the answers following three questions:
1. What is Disneys standard procedure for dealing with developer inventory at resorts that are not sold out? For example I was told that BLT has 20 studios with MK views. If BLT is only 20% sold out on March 1, 2009 (when they start taking reservations) and I try to get a studio with a MK view will there be only 4 available to members and the other 16 be only be available to people paying cash? (It would really stink if a member could not get their desired room using points, but rooms were available to non-members willing to pay cash.)
2. Does Disney declare the member units proportional to the views? For example, if BLT was only 20% sold out, potentially could all the room available to be booked with points end up being LV or SV with no MK views available?
3. Related to question 2, is there any way of tracking which rooms have been declared for members, and which rooms are still in developer inventory? Our deed is for a % of unit 5C at BLT, so I assume that unit has been declared for members, but is there any way of knowing the location of the rooms in that unit, as well as other units declared for members?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
My family is looking forward to New Years eve at BWV.
