Hi....
I am slow at catching onto the lastest technology.... but I am trying !!
I have just started to copy/burn stuff onto CDs and DVDs....

what is the best / correct way to label these ....
Can I just use a basic black mark to write on them??
I have seen it this way... if I write on them what is the best writing tool to use??/
I have also seen small stickers on them like address labels....

Help me to keep my CDs and DVDs labeled.... what should I do ??
many thanks.

I use a Sharpie marker on mine, but any permanent marker would be fine. I like using permanent marker so the writing doesn't smudge off.

If you are using the cd's to archive photos don't use a Sharpie marker or others of that type. They can ruin a cd over the years.

If you are going to put a sticker on the cd get the ones made for cd's. Also be very careful if you are going to burn a cd of music and you stick the cd with the sticker in. They have been known to come off inside your cd player.

Look at getting the printable surface blank DVD's they go directly into your printer providing you printer has the spot available then you just print whatever you want directly to the top of the disk. Or you can get a new HP DVD/CD burner with lightscribe and etch a title etc into the top of the disk.
