Hi

I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with: can you book a flight using a "ding" rate and if you have to cancel can you get a credit from SW like you do cancelling their other flights? Also if you just want to change to another better "ding" rate can you switch from one to another?

Thanks

Yeah, but it's a little complicated. You pull up one window with the old confirmation, set up the new purchase, cancel the old ticket, and immediately buy the new one with your remaining credits.

AFAICT, using old credits taints any new ones - we did lots and lots and lots of swaps on the last trip, and ended up with $$$ of credits that expired a month after the trip, because any credits left on a given ticket expired based on the oldest credits used to buy that ticket. Thank goodness for the 6-month paper voucher extensions.
