Question on Back to Back Cruising

Just a question to those who have done back to back cruises. Do you get to stay on the ship or do you have to get off and re-enter? Can you keep your same room if you want? Would love to do 2 weeks of cruising, except I'm wondering if my waistline could survive 2 weeks!

our friends just did this, and they simply stayed on board, in the same room...the only concern the cruise line had was to keep reminding them that there were no services (food, drink etc) for about 4 hours,

About to do our second back-to-back, and will again get off the ship to take a trip to Merrit Island Mall&Walmarts (by taxi). You dont have to get off, but we take the opportunity of buying a few items at Walmart etc., to take home to UK. (Cheap shorts.sandals,etc.) Also enjoy rejoining the ship and watching all the excited kids once again. Guess we've never grown up! Nat
