When we travel to WDW in January, we will be staying in a 2BR villa at OKW. This trip is going to be alot about visiting with family, so we plan on eating about two meals a day in the villa. How well stocked is the kitchen?

For example, is there a casserole pan? What about strainer for pasta?

I already plan on bringing down the Crock-Pot, is there any other items that you recommend taking?

Thanks.

I'm going to be really honest with you. We've been members since 1993 and have stayed at OKW more than 20 times. There is a standard list of what should be in the kitchen. But my experience is that you cannot count on anything. Sometimes there would be a colinder or a casserole dish and sometimes there would not be. The one thing that I have not seen deviate is the number of dishes and glassware in the unit. I'm not complaining about OKW - we love it. I imagine if you call mousekeeping to tell them what is missing that you need, you'll get that missing equipment pretty quickly. Have a great trip!

Thanks for being honest. I have stayed a couple of times at OKW have never paid any attention to what was present.

Is there somewhere online that I can find this list of supplies that are supposed to be supplied? Also, are you saying that if one of these are missing, you think mousekeeping will supply?

I am driving to WDW, so bringing supplies from home is not that big a deal.

Yes, there is a 9"x13" casserole dish, and a large round glass baking dish with a lid, and a large collander. There is a list inside one of the upper kitchen cabinet doors, just check it when you get there, and anything that's missing that you will need just call housekeeping and they'll bring it right over. We were missing a spatula and two potholders, had them within half an hour.
There are plenty of pots, two different sized frying pans, cookie sheet, broiler pan, and lots of mixing bowls/serving dishes as well.
Enjoy your trip - we love OKW!!!:goodvibes

Here is a list from the member website. If anything is missing, just call mousekeeping:
Kitchen:
Refrigerator
Electric stove/oven
Microwave oven
Sink with disposal
Coffee maker and starter pack
Toaster
Electric blender
Dishware, glasses, coffee cups and flatware service for eight (service for 12 in three-bedroom Vacation Homes)
Serving platter, vegetable bowls, salad serving bowl, sugar bowl, pitcher and cream server
Eight-piece cookware set (pots, pans and lids)
Casserole dishes, measuring cups and spoons, colander, cutting board and cookie sheet
Paring knife, cook's knife, tongs, serving spoon, serving fork, can opener, bottle opener and corkscrew
Teakettle
Dish towel
Sponge
Potholders

The last few times we were at OKW--most recently this past April--the pots had the "drainer" lids with holes/slits in them for draining pasta, etc.

Like others have said, if anything is missing, just give mousekeeping a call. The last time we were there, something we needed was missing from the kitchen. One call and it was brought to us in less than a half-hour.
