I have a question, we bought the magic your way package for 6days/5nights. We'll be arriving on Sunday and using ME to go to the Poly. However at the end of our disney vaction on Friday we wanted to take the ME back up to the airport but we won't be getting on a flight that day. We are extending our trip by 2 days to go to the Space Center. So we wanted to go back to the airport on ME and then from there rent a car and stay at an Orlando airport for two days before flying back home. My question is can we use ME on the return trip? How do they handle your luggage? We'd actually have to have it on the bus we'll be on so we can pick it up when we arrive at the airport, they can't send it to the airport on any bus. We wanted to check out go to the park in the day and then hop on an evening ME. Would they hold our luggage at the hotel for us and then we'll bring it on the ME? Has anyone done anything like that? Any advice? Or am I just worrying too much?

No problem. I've done this when returning to MCO to rent a car and continue my trip. When you give DME your return info, you have a few options. You can find a flight that leaves at a time that would get you to MCO at the time you want to arrive. Say you want to be at MCO around 6pm...find a flight that leaves around 9pm and give them info for that flight. Or, you can just explain to DME that you need to be at MCO at 6pm to pick up your rental car.

The day you checkout, you can leave your baggage at your resort. You can check it with Bell Services and pick it up later. You can pick it up and then take it to the DME bus with you..no problem at all. Just be prepared to tip both the CMs at Bell Services as well as the DME bus driver.

It's all very easy and many guests have done just this thing. No need to be concerned.

Pick a flight on any airline for the day and time you want to go to the airport. Tell ME that's your flight. They give you a pickup time about 3 hours before.

Be at the pickup location with your luggage about 15 minutes before that time. Load the luggage on the bus (or let the driver do it). Ride the bus to the airport (remember which airline you're 'travelling' on). Collect your luggage from the driver, tip him, then go on to your transportation.

Don't know any reason that would work. I'm pretty sure ME doesn't look for plane tickets.

That math doesn't work though. You want to find a flight that's departing TWO hours after you want to arrive at MCO. If you give them a 9pm flight time, the ME pickup at your resort will be between 5:45p-6:15p, getting you to the airport @around 7.

You are correct - I am thinking if you want to be at the airport by 6 pm, you would need to pick a 10:00 pm flight.

No. If you want to be at the airport by 6pm, you want to leave Disney around 5pm. It's roughly a 45 minute to 1 hour trip.

So you want to leave Disney at 5pm. You know ME picks up roughly 3 hours before your flight. 5pm + 3 hours = 8pm. So if you want to get to MCO around 6, tell them you have an 8pm flight.
