Question - Lens & Filter help!?

So I have a filter on my lens (because my mom dropped her lens/camera many times and she thinks the filter stopped the lens from breaking)

I went to clean the filter and/or lens today because I noticed a couple spots, and it looks like the last time I took off the filter I didn’t get it back on straight. So it won’t come off now.

any suggestions?

Yeah. Most likely crooked. My first suggestion would be a filter wrench. Adorama and B&H have them for just a few bucks.

I didn’t even know a filter wrench is a thing that exists. I’ll see if I can order one online, thanks!

Or try one of those rubber things to help take lids off jars.

This one has helped me in the past to get off a filter I had put on crooked. The ones they sell for camera lenses are essentially the same.
