Question? Guest count under the minimum...

Hi, this is my first post here so please forgive me if the question has been asked before I did look but couldn't see the answer.

I'm in the very very early process of planning a disney wedding, at this point really just putting together venue idea's I haven't spoken to Disney yet. The guest cout at our wedding is expected to be fairly small but we'd really like to use some of the Epcot venue's.
I noticed a lot of the Epcot venue have minimum guest totals (50 seems to be a popular number) so far we're only planning about 15 people if there any chance they would let us use the venue's even though we don't meet the minimum? We would be prepared to pay the costs for 50 people just to use the space.

Are you looking at dessert party or reception locations? I know there are a few dessert party locations that have smaller minimums (like Morocco). As far as reception locations, they are pretty strict with the minimums.

Here is a list of locations in Epcot that will work with your guest count:
Canada Terrace
Morocco
American Adventure Parlor (not Rotunda)
There's also a dessert party location in Japan..but I think the max is 10 guests.

Hi! Welcome! According to the Epcot venue guide, there are a lot of spots in Epcot that have a lower minimum then 50, including:
- American Adventure Dining Room (10)
- Canada Terrace (10)
- Rue de Paris (30)
- Isola West Plaza (30)
- Living Seas (25)
- Morocco Oasis (10)
- UK Lochside (20)
- UK Terrace (20)
Several other locations can be used for Dessert Parties too... they have several with minimums in the 10 to 20 range. I just got this information last month so I'm assuming it's still fairly accurate. Hope this helps!

Thank you for replies. We are looking for both reception and dessert party venue.

From going through the virtual venue's on the disney site we really liked the Italy and France sections in Epcot. As those have lower minimum guest counts do you think there is chance we'd be able to hire them even though we still don't meet the minimum?

My fiancé is Italian so it would be nice to host the reception/dessert party in one of the Italian sections available.

It depends on availability. Disney does sometimes let smaller parties use the larger venues, but often they have to wait and see if any bigger groups (like conventions) want them first. Then, 30 days out, they'll let you know if you can have one.
