Question for you about adding on ponits at AKV ...

We're pretty sure we'd like to purchase some points at AKV ... I just want to clarify a few things we're not sure of if anyone can help us out.

Since we are adding on, we don't need to purchase 100 points, correct ? We are thinking of just adding 75 right now.

The pricing that has been mentioned includes an incentive ... is this when you basically resell this use years points back in exchange for a lower price ?

We have an October use year. Will I get points that I can use right now or will I have to wait until October to get them ? Or is this tied in to whether or not we choose to use the price incentive?

PS This resort looks to be amazing when it is finished !!! We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge (not on points) for a few days last summer and fell in love with it !!

Hi, I'm a newbie, too who just added on at AKV for 65 points, so yes, you can do any amount 25 points or higher (I think if you finance, then it has to be 50 points but don't quote me on that since we didn't finance.

No incentive pricing for us since we bought less than 100 points - we paid $101 but that is better than the $104 I hear it is going for now.

You've received mostly correct information so far, except that the minimum number of points for an add on at AKV is 25, not 50. Unless, of course, you need to finance, and then 50 is the minimum to finance.

If you add on at least 100 points you can choose either a set of "developer's points" OR an $8/pt discount. The developer's points expire within 7 months of purchase. I'm not entirely certain if the developer's points are still an option but the $8/pt incentive is still available, at least until June 4th.

All AKV contracts start with the 2007 UY. So your first set of AKV points will be your Oct '07 points.

One little addition, as we just added on last week. Some UY are getting really low on 2007 points. If you have one of those (I know Feb is one, as of last Thursday, less than 2000 points left), you may not end up getting 2007 UY. That was why I went ahead and purchased now instead of waiting a while--really wanted those 2007 points!

Sorry but that's incorrect. The minimum add-on purchase is 25 points, no matter what resort you buy at, home resort or not.
