Question for WL experts

Hi all. I want to call Monday and put in my room request for our November trip to the WL. This will be our first time at the WL and our first trip to disney in 11 years.

I wanted to ask all the experts what I should request. We are staying Courtyard View Bunk Beds. My husband would like a good view of the lake. The view is more important to us than location to elevator or food court. We do have two children, ds8 who will be around 53 inches and dd6 who should be about 48 inches (I know some of the balconies have closed front).

Anyway, what do you guys suggest I ask for. I've never requested a room before, and I get the impression I shouldn't ask for too many things. Should I just ask for a certain view, a certain location (North, South, etc) or a specific room. Any advice you can give I would greatly appreciate.

Above is a room map of the WL. I don't like the enclosed balconies so would ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floor.

I like rooms in the "bear's face". There are only 14 rooms in this area and I don't know if any have bunkbeds. This gives you a direct view of the courtyard and Bay Lake. Your room opens up to the lobby. The only problem some is the possible noise from the lobby. These rooms are close to the elevator. Room numbers are 5069 to 5079 and 4069 to 4079.

We stayed next to a bunk bed room at the end of the North Wing facing the lake. The bunk bed room was on the courtyard corner of the end. I'd recommend it. You're on the end of the wing, so there's less foot traffic in the hallway, and you're VERY close to the boat dock... all you have to do is pop down the stairway near the room.
