I know from listening to the podcast that you have grown many orchids and have many of them around your house. This is my first orchid and it has finally stopped blooming. The stem the flowers were on is now brown. The leaves look great. Do I cut the stem the flowers were on? Does a new stem grow? I just do not want it to die. Please excuse this post on here but I just need some help.

That's a good question. My orchid's flower stem broke off a few years ago and it has not grown backmor flowered since.
