We just booked a last minute trip to Disney for Aug 19th-24. It's Sun - Fri. We have never stayed at VWL before. We're going to call MS tomorrow and try to get a studio. Do you think I'll have a problem? :confused3 Also, any views/areas I should request? We had dinner there during our trip in April and we would really love to stay there! Any input is appreciated.

Not sure about your chances, usually the end of August starts to slow down a bit but I think this year Free dining may be starting up. Not sure but I'll sprinkle pixie dust on your post for you.

Most of the views from the villas are of the woods. I loved them. My family was there last year for the last 10 days in August. One of my favorite things was after we came back from the lodge after a long, hot day, Dh & I would sit out on the balcony. It's very peaceful and usually there are various nature sounds, mingled with the muted sounds of people returning to the room. I think the lodge inspires peacefulness.

That is just 2 months away, The VWL is the smallest of all DVC resorts, now to say this, I have waitlisted a one bedroom in April at VWL, and it came through in one week, so if it is not available... then waitlist it. The VWL is peaceful, you will be so happy.:thumbsup2

I had to waitlist for a studio at VWL for Aug 25-30 back in the middle of May. My waitlist came through last Friday.:)

Okay, plans have changed! We are now going for a week, Aug 17-24th and instead of a studio, we are now getting a 2 bedroom. My daughter is bringing her friend. I am booked at SSR as they are the only place with anything available. I am waitlisted at VWL as my first choice as I REALLY, REALLY, want to stay there because I never have and we have BWV and BCV waitlisted as 2nd and 3rd choice. I have never waitlisted before. We'll just have to wait and see!
