We have stayed in villas before but payed cash, so we always had mousekeeping. We bought DVC last year and in a couple of weeks we're staying at BLT for our 1st stay using DVC.:cool1:
Now I know about the 4 day stuff, which I will able to live with, along with most of the other things that go along with DVC. My question is what have you learned works and or bring extras of what usaully come with mousekeeping. Also one question I do have is for anyone who has stayed in BLT, here it comes, coffee filters which one do the coffee makers take there. The cone kind or the cup kind, last time we brought one style and is was the other style. Crazy questions I know but any input I get will really help.

All DVC rooms have a full size (10-12 cup) Mr Coffee brand brewer that takes the basket (flat bottom) style of filters.

We bring some extra washcloths from home. We hang and re-use our towels but like fresh washcloths daily. I also bring my own shampoo.

I always bring a liquid soap pump (and when we stayed in a BLT 1BR I brought two) because I can't stand washing my hands with bar soap (and it's so messy by the sink).

When we stayed in room 7660 this past July, upon arrival, we had towels & washcloths for 8 people...even though there were only 4 of us...not sure if that's the norm or not.

I brought way too much with us our first trip in a studio. Felt we had plenty of towels. I brought extra coffee and filters. Checked in Sun and housekeeping was in on Wed. I was surprised with the toiletries they left that it lasted so long- 2 soaps, 1 shower gel and one shampoo and conditioner. These will be replaced as well as coffee on towel day. I believe the studio had 2 coffees and small liquid soap for the sink. For our 2B, I have the detergent/fabric softener sheets and plan on taking some extra powdered dishwash detergent for dishwasher.

When it comes to coffee in the morning, we just dread the chance when traveling that we need to get dressed and "go get it". to solve that issue, we began years ago to take the coffee filter packs with us. they work in any style coffe pot.

Some mornings it takes two packs in the filter basket for coffee that will kick start the day . . . .

We usually stay in a studio and I have found bringing one extra garbage bag comes in handy. It helps to tiddy up between cleanings. I hate clutter.

For our family we are fine with the towels and soaps left (although I like that foamy soap idea)

Things we bring...
One extra travel laundry detergent (Target has All liquid in 2 load little bottle)
Brita water filter picture
Water bottles
Gallon and quart Ziploc bags
extra grocery bags or tall kitchen bags (just one or two for various purposes
Tea and cocoa (we are not coffee drinkers) & a few other small food items (popcorn, granola bars, oatmeal)
Cheap ($1) rain ponchos

Thanks for all who has shared their tips. I'm sure after a couple 'point trips' ourselves we'll have it down.
