I'm wondering about the prices at WDW and how the seem to the UK posters..I'm planning a possible trip with 4 friends from the UK..2 will be on more of a budget. With the exchange rate and/or the cost of food in the UK, are they going to look at a Steak at the Kona Cafe and think "wow is that expensive",or are they going to think it's reasonable?. I know some of my UK friends have commented on how good the prices are at regular US restaurants when compared to the UK (for steaks and such) Will that l stand true at WDW? If most of you think the food prices are unusually high,I may book more CS and less TS

Obviously the prices at WDW are higher than in regular US restaurants, but I certainly wouldn't categorise them as "unusually high". I think if you take into account that you are in a theme park the prices are reasonable. IMHO the £/$ exchange rate is good at present. We are headed to BWV in April and will be on the dining plan for the first time. We will be paying a total of $625 for the four of us for five days eating and I think that is fantastic value for money! :thumbsup2

I hope you and your friends have a great time! :cool1:

We find the food prices to be very good at WDW, we live just outside London and the price for food in restaurants in and around London to be much higher.
This should not scare you off the UK as you can get some very good food at Pubs for example at reasonable prices. Most places in the Uk do food to suit your budget, as in WDW there are plenty of places like Victoria & Alberts, but also like Rose & Crown or McDonalds etc

We live in the south of England, and we find that the food prices in WDW are good value. We enjoy the characher meals, as DD4 can pick and choose what to eat and of course see the characters. We feel its great value, compaired to a theme park in the UK. After all in WDW you have great food, fab charachers, themes. Great service and its all very clean. To balance out eating at WDW we also have a Subway one night at the villa, or we go to Sweet Tomatos, which is lovely and very cheap. hope this helps a bit. ???

My friends live in London so they are used to London prices

We always find WDW prices very good compared to here and the service is also alot better at WDW :) The only places we find expensive are the higher class restuarants but then we don't really go to higher class restaurants at home, so in comparison they would be better value at WDW as well :teeth:

Claire ;)
