i was wondering how many buses WDW has....hopefully you can help Tyler ..or anyone for that matter :D

I believe that I've heard Disney runs approx 235 busses, with 10-20 in reserve (maintenance, high demand, etc)

It's currently 264, however it will soon be 288, with the arrival of 24 new Gilligs (another 20-25 more coming within 18 months). However, some of the older buses may be seeing a well earned retirement within the next 18 months.

BTW, you're from Raymond? I used to drive through there all the time... grew up in Amherst, myself.

yup im from Raymond, not too far from Amherst. My high school always plays Souhegan (Amhersts High School, you probably already knew that lol). Did you used to live in New Hampshire? oh yea, how many Nova buses are there because we go to WDW with a handicapped friend that loves the Nova buses because its easy for him to get on and off. I was just wondering if you knew how many there were. thanks Tyler :D

I was the first class to go through Soughegan after it was built... Wow... that was a long time ago. I feel old now!! :)

We have 71 of the piece of crap Novas... that might soon be changing, as I think thier leases are coming to an end... Not quite sure, though.

The Gilligs have the same low-floor design, but have a fold out ramp for increased reliability. I'm sure your friend will find them just as easy. :)

wait..lol...which ones are the ones that "kneel"? steve, my handicapped friend likes those ones.

The RTS, Nova LFS, and Gillig Advantage can all kneel. "Kneeling" is when the air suspension deflates, bringing the entry step closer to the ground. Many of our RTS buses can kneel, although they still have the steps to get in.

Both the low-floors kneel in the front, or tilt to the side, allowing the rear door to lower down as well. This decreases the boarding angle for the ramp.

thats exactly what i wanted to know...thanks again Tyler....im going to be at WDW for christmas...are you going to be driving the buses?
