Currently I have Comcast Cable as my internet service provider. Tonight I am switching over to Verizon DSL for the $$$$ savings. We have Verizon at one of our offices and it seems to work just as well as cable for less money.
Now, with Comcast, I went out and installed my own Norton Internet Security Suite (firewall, virus protection, spam blocker, parental controls, etc) because I felt what Comcast offered wasn't doing the job. It is active until August 23, 2005. So, when I switch to Verizon I will have "coverage" for a month.
A guy at work tells me that Verizon comes with McAfee that works just fine and that I wouldn't need to have an additional security software program. Is this true?

I have no problem with their tech support. Yes, if you install the MSN Premium (free) with the verizon, you have the McAffee virus protection along with their firewall. There has only been 2 times that I have had a problem that has taken more than 1 phone call to repair. I wouldn't hesitate to get it.
