Go to DLR. It's the 60th anniversary, and it's really cool right now. WDW you can visit anytime. This is a really special time for DL, and obviously, it's a special time for you too. Blue Bayou is a fantastic place to eat, the New Orleans section is a wonderful and special section of DL, Carland is worth the price of admission alone, Trader Sam's is a great place for snacks and drinks (and the Trader Sam's here is really not as good), and overall, I think you will like it for a very special trip. When I turned 30, we went to DL, and had a GREAT time. I had wanted to go to WDW and stay at the Poly, but I was soooo glad my parents and brother talked me into DL. And stay at the
Disneyland Hotel if you can. It's so so very Disney. And Goofy's Kitchen is the best character dinner I've ever had. The food was delicious - so many offerings - and the character interaction was great. They even give you recipies to take home (I love the peanut butter and jelly pizza). For many people, they like staying in the bubble that is WDW. And that's nice. But, still, DL is very cool. And if you want to take tours, they have a great tour there that I took - reasonably priced, and we even got to see a little bit of Club 33! Oh, and did I mention that you can take your Dole Whips into the Tiki Room? We got Dole Whips during the tour, and snacked on them while our tour guide explained Disney's love of the Tiki room.
And, as one person told my mom, WDW is the cubic zirconia. Disneyland is the Diamond. And as much as I love WDW, I really have to agree. Go.
