Question for those who have applied AP discounts to ressies

I called last Thursday to apply an AP discount to my reservation which is thru CRO. (Had a room only ressie, no package.) Just received conformation in the mail today, but my reservation is in the form of a package.

The conformation letter still shows the 12 digit reservation number, (so it's still thru CRO), and the AP discount has been applied, but here's what is showing on the letter:

Package Type
5 night AMI Passholder Offer Package Total: $496

Amount Due
Remaining Package Amount: $410.14 is due by 11/23/03***No additional notices will be sent*****
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Has this happen to anyone else?? I don't check in until Dec. 14th, but luckly I'll have the money to pay the remainder by Nov. 23, if that's what they want.

Seems odd that applying an AP rate would turn this into a package. Will I receive luggage tags and stuff since my ressie is now showing a package??

Sorry so long! Look forward to responses. :)

I received the same thing yesterday on my reservation. I thought that payment was not due until check in. I am gonna call and find out and will post what I am told. :)

In July , A similar thing happened to my reservation, when I recieved the confirmation. With Payment being due earlier then arrival. Needless to say I was in panic, when I called CRO again they told me that it was still only due at arrival. Call them Get the Time date and cast member's name to verify your original reservation terms.

Good luck

I called and the very nice CM told me to ignore the balance due earlier than check in time. She said the AP rates were on a "package screen", but booked as room only. Hope this helps anyone!!:)

I was about to start a thread on this very topic when I found this one. I had the same thing happen to me. We usually pay off our hotel in advance so it doesn't really bother me that much, I guess surprised is a better word for it.

Something else that has "surprised" me is that both of the confirmations I've received for our upcoming trip, as well as those from our last trip refer to me as a Disney Club member. Our membership expired last January. Is this what everyone gets?

I had the same thing happen to me, but the return envelope says "Walt Disney Travel Company".

I'd asked specifically for CRO.

Go figure........
