Question for those who got incentive stays for purchases at BCV

I got a 7 night stay when I purchased BCV and I am traveling with my in-laws and using it at the Polynesian this December. We hope to get connecting rooms.

So my question is a little long: My in-laws have a cash ressie at the Polynesian - garden view - same as what our free stay is good for. Well, there aren't any codes for our travel time yet, but the codes right now are producing awesome rates that, if available for our dates, would make a garden view concierge stay cheaper than what the in-laws are paying for the plaing garden view right now.

So my question is, how likely would it be that I could have my free stay go towards a concierge stay - IF my in-laws can go up to concierge? I fully expect that DVC would want me to pay something, but I am hoping that most of it would be covered under the free stay and i could just pay the price difference.

What do you think?

It likely won't be a DVC decision, but rather what the Poly wants to do. DVC has provided the voucher, but any upgrade would be the resort's decision.

In the past, Concierge upgrades were not guaranteed in advance for point ressies- but were done on an as-available basis at check in.

You can check with MS, but more than likely the Poly will make the decision.

When I booked my complimentary stay the CM in Member Services actually suggested to inquiry about the cost to upgrade to concierge, upon check-in. So it definitely is an option. You would, of course, be responsible for the difference in price from the standard Garden View to whichever other room category you choose.

P.S. I checked the price, online, for Polynesian Garden concierge under the Fall Fling discount too! I think it comes out to about $235 (plus tax) a night, almost 40% off rack rate!

If only I didn't have to work and had money to vacation all year round... :D

So I couldn't call them now and ask about getting into concierge - or if good rates come out, call them then? It would only be available at check-in?

The thing is is that we want to get connecting rooms and if the -in-laws upgrade to concierge witha code and I won't know if I can until check-in, I don't know that that will work.

I am completely willing to pay the difference in price per night - it amounts to like a $25 difference per night with the codes. I'd be willing to commit to that upfront if I could.

Any other experiences out there?

Hi everyone --- naive question... where do you find these codes. My sister has 3 little kids and would like to stay at a monorail resort like the Poly... where could she find out about this discount?

Thanks.
