Question for those who are pro-life.

You know an already born child dies in this world every ten minutes from malnutrition..
So they'd be better off being killed before being born? Looks like it's just a matter of timing to you. :confused3

That's not what I said, but you may read into anything you like.

Do you even know what your saying, or do you just babble on to boost your post count?

I know that I did not state the fact about children dying to "make someone feel bad," or to :stir: , or to say that they are better off being aborted.

Right!!

first of all, this could never happen. second, how do you save frozen embryos. third, no matter what the answer is somebody on this board will criticize you or read something into it or throw a stupid comment after you make your choice. by the way, i would save the baby. and i am very prolife, which means that you do what you can, and never intentionally kill an innocent life. depending on what you believe that life is. and i am not going to judge that. that is individual.

Yes, and we all know that threads never go off topic. You can read into my fact what ever you want.

So being a pro-choice person, what would you do? I know the OPs question wasn't directed to your side, but I'm curious just the same.

I guess a more appropriate question is would a pro-lifer run into a burning building that housed frozen embryos to save them.

Still a rediculous question.

I heard a question posed yesterday and it really made me curious how pro-life people will answer.

You are in a building that is used for the storage of frozen embryos. A fire breaks out and you can either save a baby or the freezer unit that holds 1000 viable embryos --- which do you save?
I would put the baby down my shirt and then grab the freezer unit and be out the door...:)

If I really could not get both, I would grab the baby first because it is more likely that the baby has less time to be saved.

Basically the question is asking "Do pro-lifers value unborn children as much as those already born?"...for me, yes.

For me, this is no different than asking which of my children I would save if I could only save one. I would save the first one I could and they try to save the other. One has no more value than the other.

I'm pro choice I would save the baby first. Nothing against the others embryos but why would I save those over something that is already alive. Come on now!

IMO, the embryos are alive too. (please note, I said in my opinion) That is why I feel the way I do.

alright, lets play a little. what if instead of frozen embryos, which some are saying are really not life, there was a frozen organ, such as a heart, that was the one match for your father, then is it just a worthless piece of tissue. it is less alive than a frozen embryo, i would think. now what? a chance to save your father or mother...the mindless possibilities are endless.

Save the baby of course and then I would take the baby to the hospital to make sure she was okay.

The baby, of course. Given the (implausible) situation, the baby would suffer in the fire. The embryos wouldn't.

I'm trying to ascertain what you mean, and how it relates to the topic, or why would you would choose to intentionally go off topic rather than starting a new htread regarding the starving children in the world that we could all then try and have a logical discussion about. It seems you are choosing not to answer my, or anyone else's, questions for clarification, so I guess there's not much more to discuss here. We'll just all stay in the dark with regard to what you actually mean, and end this exercise in futility.

I am sorry there are starving children in the world, and that it distresses you.

And your point is...?

Since this is purely hypothetical and not based in reality, I would call Superman.
